Tramola 26.2 released
Tramola 26.2 is available! This release gives the Visualizer a heavily overhauled new look, adds traffic counts and transit stop analyses, and lets you edit vehicle types right in the scenario. It also brings support for MATSim 2026 and several smaller but useful improvements.

A new look for the Visualizer
The Visualizer has been reworked from the ground up. Layers now live in a cleaner sidebar, and analyses have their own dedicated section with individual settings.
When selecting elements like links, transit stops or traffic count stations, a new panel provides quick insights and analysis results without an additional click. The results can be opened in a separat tab, so you can keep a chart in view while you continue working on the map. Selected items are marked with a pin on the map for easy identification.
Traffic counts
Tramola can now compare your simulation against real-world traffic counts. Count stations are shown directly on the map, with GEH values and absolute differences highlighting where your model matches reality and where it does not.
Selecting a station opens charts comparing simulated and counted volumes over the course of the day, including a scatter plot that follows the time control as it plays. Counts without coordinates are supported as well — they are visualized along the network links instead.
Transit stop analyses
Two new analyses make it easier to understand what happens at your transit stops. The first shows how many passengers board and alight at each stop, with hourly resolution and optional aggregation of stops belonging to the same stop area.
The second visualizes transfers between lines as a chord chart, so you can see at a glance which connections passengers actually use.
The new color glyph visualization allows to spot also small differences on the map.
Vehicle type editor
Vehicle types can now be edited directly in Tramola. Capacities, lengths, speeds and other attributes are editable in a dedicated editor, and when you create or copy a departure in the public transport editor, vehicle types are suggested automatically.
Bring your own geodata
You can now attach your own geodata files to a scenario — district boundaries, study areas, or any other reference geometry — and display them as a layer in the Visualizer. Stay tuned for more analyses making use of your geodata in the next version of Tramola.

As if the above features are not enough, Tramola 26.2 also includes:

- Runs can be imported without specifying the coordinate system — Tramola detects it automatically
- Files can be added to an existing run
- CSV output is imported as tables automatically when a run finishes, ready for your dashboards
- Improved file viewer: CSV as tables, coloured XML, and direct viewing of compressed files
- Redesigned dashboards
- Support left-hand traffic in the Visualizer
- Failed jobs can be retried by admins with a single click
- New runner options, including memory overhead, container user, environment variables and SSH key authentication
